Sandymount Physiotherapy Clinic offers both one to one Pilates sessions and Pilates classes. All classes are taught by Chartered Physiotherapists and are small enough to ensure the individual attention necessary for correct performance of the exercises.

Mom Pilates is a form of physical exercise that focuses on posture, core stability, balance, control, strength, flexibility, and breathing. Core strength involves the deep muscles of the abdomen and back working together to provide more strength to the body and also extra support for the spine. It corrects abnormal patterns of movement and improves posture and muscle balance in everyday life.

Clinical Pilates is often used in conjunction with physiotherapy as a means of treating a variety of injuries, particularly those of the neck and back.

About our Clinical Pilates Classes

Our classes are led by our expert Chartered Physiotherapists who specialise in Pilates as a form of rehabilitation, injury prevention and as a general fitness to improve body tone and strength.

Classes take place on Tuesday evenings, and Wednesday mornings.

If you have an injury and are interested in commencing Pilates, it is advisable to have a chat with and possibly an assessment by a physiotherapist to assess the suitability of a core stability program for you.

Please contact our secretary Mary to arrange an assessment, to book a place or to make any further enquiries.
