What to expect on your first visit
sandymount physio

On your first visit a detailed examination will be carried out. The physiotherapist will ask you questions about your problem and details of your medical history and then examine the relevant joints, muscles and ligaments. Your physiotherapist will then discuss the examination findings with you and agree a treatment plan. This will include advice and self-management techniques.

If you are attending with a back or sporting injury bring a pair of shorts.  If may also help if you bring along your OLD trainers as they may be useful in establishing the diagnosis.

We place considerable emphasis on prevention of injury and your treatment will probably include exercises for you to do at home. We will also advise you on working positions, lifting and handling, warm-up and cool-down exercises before and after playing sport.

Please bring with you:
Any hospital notes, correspondence, referral letters, x-rays, scans and results of any investigations you have had in the past.

Please contact us at: sandymountphysio@indigo.ie or Telephone:  01 6686 819 to discuss your requirements further.
